installing edelbrock 1406 to 1973 satellite 318 with performer intake manifold.
difficulty with alignment of cable accelator linkage and transmission throttle lever to linkage of this carb.
have tried the edel chrysler throttle adaptor - no good yet
I know that i am not the only one who has fit an edelbrock 1406 carb to a 1973 318 .
Anyone with suggestions other than calling edelbrock .
thank you for your consideration.

I ended up building my own throttle cable clamp and kickdown linkage. It took a while to get the plate just right, and the kickdown linkage right, but if you have access to a welder/grinder/drill you can get it wherever you want it, who knows maybe youll come up with a custom mopart that others would be interested in. Whatever you do....DONT disconnect the kickdown and leave it like that, I dont mean to insult your intelligence, just making sure. I killed a tranny that way when I was young. Edelbrock does have all the bolt on little brackets and doodads, but if you go that route I would suggest using some locktite on all the screws and little bolts/nuts, or you could end up with "stuck at full throttle" been there too, practice makes perfect. Good luck.
