I'm having a very very hard time finding a set of wheels out here in the Netherlands in the secondhand market. In fact, I can't find anything. New wheels are just so damned expensive for US vehicles over here it's bizarre. Can you imagine spending almost 1500 dollars for a set of 4 basic chrome wheels 15x8j WITHOUT tires, bolt or caps, just the wheels!? Just your basic mangels...

So, I've found some wheels off a chevy s10. They just love Crappy's, I mean chevy's over here. Also they get confused when you propose the idea that various vehicles used the same bolt pattern. Mention Dodge Dart and shows over....

Question is, Googling shows 80's S10's as being a 5x4.75 lug pattern, my Dart being a '73 is 5x4.5

I also found the exact set I want off a Suzuki Vitara but they are 5x5.5 . Perfect though, deeper dish in the back and narrower and shallower up front.

Can I squeeze these on? And if I can what risks am I running?

Any other ideas from potential fellow European posters or am I going to have to bite the bullet and buy new wheels, if so, what's the widest wheel/tire size I can run in the back? Will a 10j rim fit?

How reliable are lug pattern adapter units?

TIA
David

5X4.5 or41/2" was on all the full size mopars and most older fords. If you do a search on inter changing weels or bolt patterns you will find that there even some of the newer stuff(Japan &others) has this bolt pattern and they cross over to mm. It will tell you all the crossover sizes. Even many Jeep latemodel wheels are 5 on 41/2". I found it on Google search. Try www.teufert.net and there are others, you got to search.  300zx turbo only 85&86 is 5x4.5
Good Luck !

I've got wheels now but am shopping for others already.

Take a look here if you're interested to see what I"m up too with the Dart to get some bigger tires in the back without mini tubbing..
