after the car warms up, you can take off and drive then when going from 2nd to 3rd no power/power loss, then gets worse, then car dies, i checked and the carb didn't flood and still would spray fuel, any ideas would help, thanks

I have heard of the coil and/or ignition control box getting warm and cutting out.
