I had planned to get on the board this morning and ask the exact same question. One additional question. I am wondering if I can use the stock push rods and stamped rockers with these heads. I noticed the deck is thicker by the advertisement and wondered if I needed to use a longer set of push rods or rocker setup. What do you think?
Seems like at least a couple of us are thinking the same thing here with a nice christmas present! I'll be watching this thread with a keen eye for sure. It would be nice to pick up a set of these at this price versus the 'brock ones at quite a bit more.

I beleive the heads you are referring to are a copy of the Edelbrock Performer heads. I've heard nothing but good reports about them.

Some people are like Slinkys; they're not very useful, but fun to watch when pushed down the stairs.

The 440Source heads look like stock heads on the outside but the combustion chambers are closed like a 915 head. The ports are very similiar to the Edelbrock RPM Performer ports but the spark plugs in the Stealth heads are straight rather than on an angle.
You can get the Stealth heads CNC ported by Jeff at Modern Cylinder Head. They flow 320+ after Modern gets done with them which is good enough for 650+ hp.

If you guys bug Randy enough I'll put a set of the Stealth CNC heads on my 505 and do a magazine article. I don't really need to do this since I know they will make basically identical power to the CNC ported Mopar 452 heads that I just ran on the 505 motor (680 hp) but sometimes people want to see it for themselves.

I own a set of the Stealth Heads, The problem I'm having along with many others on Moparts.com is the combustion chamber is deformed on these heads and allows the gasket ring to hang inside the chamber. I called and spoke to Ken at 440 source and he said it wasn't enough to hurt anything. If you let this happen it may take 50 miles or 5,ooo miles but that seal will burn out. Ask any knowledgable performance engine builder. I started out with the Rol gaskets and they are way off, Called Ken he said to buy the Felpro 1105 with a 4.59 bore. Guess what? They won't work either, The valves have been unshrouded so much that these large bore gaskets won't work either, they only cost $81.00 ea. at Jegs.Check this out before you make a bad and costly mistake.

Had heads flowed @28" These are stealth as cast purchased here in Australia Intakes 200 144cfm Ex 110 300 197cfm 142 400 233 cfm 166 500 247 cfm 183 600 257 cfm 196 700 263 cfm 205 So as you can see they are way off the mark as advertised, and to confirm YES there is a problem with the chambers, the gasket overhangs!!Should have purchased the RPM heads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey folks, after myself doing a lot of business in China and having been there many times and seen some funky stuff in the electronics business I decided to go with Eddy's performer RPM's. They worked GREAT. I put the performer RPM intake and a big carb on it and the package made a big difference. (Those of you that have followed my posts might remember I got snookered into a deal with M&M brokers and got a 74 motorhome block and 213 motor home heads...*yawn*) I'm guessing the cam is some dog that will also need to be bumped up at some time in the future based on the surprises I got so far. For now, I'm going to get to a local dyno to see the numbers and now I'm looking forward to it. But the Edelbrock heads and setup woke this puppy up! Thanks for all the recommendations!

Hi Do you still have those 213 heads? I am looking for another set for a HD marine engine, low RPM but heavily loaded cruiser. Please let me know. Looking for original with the valves intact, rotators and the 8 extra holes around the plugs. Thanks Dan

I have a set of 452's off of a 440-3 motorhome block. They are actually still on the running engine in my coronet. They have the extra cooling holes and smaller spark plugs. I plan to switch to a set of edelbrock heads in the future, if interested send me an email, motorhead446@hotmail.com
