Hi looking for help with a 77 360 stock bottom end,heads,86 intake, comp xe 262h cam lifters eddy 750 carb with square bore adapter.I have not installed the new springs yet(901-16).Timing checks out OK 15 degrees initial 44 total(all in).Vacuum is 14 with slight flicker normal for this cam, also mopar muscle car converter 3:21 rear and 265/70's.Truck pulls terrrible/no bottom end.Kick down is right on.Should I degree this cam(4 degrees in grind )? Maybe go back to stock 340 cam? Too much overlap not enough comp?Any help appreciated.Thanks.

First off, 44 degrees total for a small block is way to much, 34-38 depending on the cam. I would degree the cam and set total timing at 36 and see were your at. Second you have a low comp motor. I would shave the heads .40 and use some thin head gaskets from Mopar performance. This will wake up your tired 360.
