Gday, guys and girls,Ive purchased stealth heads, performer rpm intake new 850 dp(not sure if this was a good choice)another short to rebuild so i dont touch the orig block, hooker comp series 1 7/8 into 3" pipes and still have not purchased the cam, sort of stuck on the lunati 304 sound real good,i want a tough sounding streeter, dont want to run huge converter and gears as i would want to use the car on 2 to 3 hour highway drives from time to time, its going into a rt challenger, how will it go with the original 3.23 final drive?,im willing to go no shorter than 3.55,i still need pistons,do i need anything flash or will a set of kb hypers for around the $400 do the trick, your feedback is appreciated as it has to sit right as im freighting my parts to australia and i dont want a change of mind..thanks

It's not a BB but I have that same Lunati grind in my 360 and it works real good. In my 68 Cuda race weight is 3620 and it runs 12.50's @ 109. Other parts in build are Air-Gap intake, home ported X heads that flow 250ish, 1-5/8" headers, 750 double pump, 3000 stall, 3.73 gears, 27" tires.

It's a great street/strip cam for a small block but I but your 440 will eat it up. It's very torquey in the 360. I bet in a 440 it'd be a stump puller. IF you want to use 3.23 gears and a low stall (say less than 2500) it should work fine but it probably won't have much bark as even in my 360 it's not all that lumpy. I think the KB pistons will do you fine. That's what I'm running for 3 yrs. now and I've beat on it hard. My engine makes well over 400 hp. If you want it to sound tough you might consider the 305 cam. With all those cubes it still should work fine with 3.23 gears and a 2200-2500 stall. JMHO
