I'm building building a 69 1/2 roadrunner 440, 4 speed, and I'm having trouble deciding on which cam to use. This is the set up I plan on running: 0.030 over 10:1 CR 2" headers 452 heads, mildly ported 214 intake valve 181 exhaust valve Team G intake 850 holly carb 3.91 rear
I'm leaning towards either the purple shaft .509 hydraulic cam, or the .528 mechanical. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Both good cams, if you don't minding adjusting valves occassionally the .528 is a faster cam. However I ran a 509 in a similar setup in a B body and ran high 11's in a street car.

I second the .528 Out of the 2, the .528 has better manners on the street and a broader power band with plenty of rpm.
age is no lock on brillance

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help! I was leaning towards the .528 for street manners. After your comments I'll definately go with that one.
