I am looking at a 72 Duster, no engine or trans. The frame is good and the floors, and trunk are ok. The only rust is qrters lower, rockers, etc.
IT was a 6cyl and auto.

If I wanted to put a 318, or ? would I still have to change the k-member or not ???  Where is a good place to get a kmember at??  Can but the car real cheap.  So what involved?

Thanks all for your help.

Schumacher motor mounts make a kit for the swap so you won't have to change the k member.

Or if you live in so cal I could sell you 1 of the v8 k members and your conversion will almost be un noticed, no crooked funky shumachers.

I personally like the Schumacher mounts. They're relatively cheap, install easily, and they work.

I'd take $150 for the K member.

How much are shumacher mounts?

Schumacher mounts run about $150 or so, so theoretiaclly, the price is a wash. BUT, if you can't find a V-8 K-frame locally, or you don't want the hassle of changing it, the Schumacher's look better to me.
