But I already got it decoded by the fender decoder on www.stockmopar.com but yours had some iformation their decoder left out.  

I have a 68 dodge dart I believe its a 270 model at least thats what the dash says I got a year one book and was looking at the first couple of pages and theres some decoding pages. I wrote down the vin numbers and checked them to see what i had. The second number is a P and says its a gt according to this book and the fifth number is a F says it a 318c.i.d./230hp 2-bbl(1968)
So this is where i am confused is my car a gt or a 270 or is there such a thing as a gt270 68 dart? My car has a factory counsel and floor shift and bucket seats. The reason i beleive the counsel is factory is it has the same ugly green carpet attached to the lower part of it. But according to the 270 model these were'nt options for the 68 270 dart. I do believe it to be an original V-8 car but don't know if its a gt, I would like to know because it would be alot cooler to say i have a gt dart than just a 270 dart. Any help would be appreciated. I know its not really a huge deal but i would really like to know because i cannot find any othe info on this.
