When the engine sits for more than a day, it takes 30-50 seconds of turning over to start. The choke works perfectly and there are no issues with fuel pump or leaks. If i cup the complete carburetor with my hands it fires immediately. The carburetor is a AFB. Any ideas.  Pete

When i look into the carburetor using a flashlight i cannot see any fuel spraying into the bowl while using the throttle, is this normal with a 4 barrel?. The float level i cannot see without breaking down the carburetor. All electrical is fine and the fuel pump was tested.

On a Carter carb is there a screw or bolt like a Holly that can be removed to check float level?
