i have a 72 valiant with a 340 treyin to pull off the starter have all bolts removed but no where for the starter to come out of only option i see is pulling the exhaust off any easier ways?

have you removed the lower inspection cover bolted in the front of the torque converter. Removing this may give you enough wiggle room to pull out your old starter, it has worked for me in the past. If your replacing the starter unit a mini starter from a 1991 dodge pickup will bolt in and is about half the size of the old mopar starters. You can get these from any local auto parts store.

Turn the wheel till the center link gives you room then wiggle it out between the exhaust/oil pan.
