well that depends on a few things. 1 are you wanting to keep the factory deck and do a stand off deck in a different location, or are you willing to cut your dash to do a modern deck? 2 what type of features are you wanting with the deck...nav, dvd, bluetooth, ext... then the big question is how much are you willing to spend? once you figure all that out. shoot me a msg with your answers and i can give you some ideas of whats avail, whats good and whats junk.

Since this is not a true to factory specs car, i am going to cut the dash. The goal of this build is to build a street rod with the right amount of care and taste put into it. What i am looking for is a good Cd player also has an mp3 jack so an ipod can be plugged in.

pioneer makes a good deck that has a usb port where you can use a thumb drive or with an added cable use an Ipod. they run a little over $200 depending on the other options you want....number of pre outs, audio setting options, flip out screen, etc.... things to keep in mind if you want to add a dvd system multi amps pre amps etc..

JVC makes a deck as well that is a little cheaper in price the quality isnt as good but its not trash either.

Clarion makes good decks but they are a bit expensive.

stay away from audiovox. kenwood has gone down in quality too. alpine isnt bad but there is better for the money.
