i have a 440 with tranny offered to me for $1000....i have a 73 scamp with a 318...tranny rebuilt 5000kms ago..worth while? what else would i need to put it in...better front end ie brakes, suspension?

sorry, engine rebuilt at 440 and comes with 727 trans

Your also gonna need a rear end, 8 3/4 with a posi to handle the extra torque of the big motor.
Also you will need the largest rad you can install and a good trans. cooler.
H.D. torsion bars, rear h.d. springs with 4 h.d. shocks,
and a pinion snubber.
