I have a 67 Barracuda with a 273 engine, I want to put a 440 with a 727 trany. Is their any body modifications that I need to do, to get it to fit?
Or would you suggset a different combo?
Thanks Mike

If your power steering change to manual. Get headers that fit from schumaker[cppa] or tti. Motor mounts needed, trany needed. just to start with.

Why not a stroker small block, 408/416 cubes? You end up with similar horsepower with a fraction of the headaces related to installing a big block in a car that was ment for a small block.

No, a 408 is a 360 block bored .030, with a 4 " stroker crank. A 416 is a 340 bored with a 4 " crank. the 360 combo is the easiest and cheapest way to get cubes and still run a small block. 500 hp with the right cam is no problem.

Yes many 360 & 340's came with 727 trans. I bought my last core from truck wrecking yard since most trucks use the heavy duty 727.
