I looked on the back like where it would be on a ford, but theyre not there. I'm trying to find out what gear it has in it without opening it up. Its still stock.

there should be a tag on one of the bolts if not you might have to open it up to find out

I didn't see one. I haven't got the car back to my house yet, I won't get it for a few more days but when I did look I didn't see a tag.

Check the right hand side of the 3rd member of the 8 3/4 right behind the pinion. There is a number stamped right into the third member case. You may have to clean this area to see the number clearly.
The last 3 numbers are likely 489, this is the sought after third member with the larger pinion bearings.
