I just bought a 67 newport to drive around a a cruiser now that its cooled off in arizona. The car only has like 70k on it and is great shape. After looking under the front end I was surprised to find that this car has torsion bars for the front suspension, and would like to know if anyone has put airbags on one of these cars. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I would think that with the tortion bars you could not bag it...I was  considering the same for my fury, I would think that the current suspention would have to be changed....What part of Arizona are you from? I am in Tucson....Good luck with the C-Body....

If your thinking of lowering the vehicle just back the adjuster screw for the torsion bars, the adjuster is a 3/4" headed bolt that is in the middle of the lower control arm. You can use this to increase or decrease the vehicles ride hight.
After doing this you may have to have the vehicle realigned.
