i don't know too much here about engine upgrades but i was wondering if anyone can help me. I have a stock 318 and added some parts to freshen it upo a bit. Got 1 600cfm eldelbrock carb, eldelbrock performer intake and performer cam. I've read some threads on bore the 318 to 340 and i don't think its a good route to take. Any ideads to pump more horse to the 318?

No, your 318 bored to a 340 bore size would equal .140 over bore, not possible. If you plan on using a 318 block & heads you can stroke the motor, and install better heads. Don't forget a nice set of headers. Upgrade of the rear end gear and transmission upgrades also help, like a high stall converter. If you want some real horsepower out of the 318 there are stroker kits available, which can give you a 390+ cubic inch motor. Personally I went the 360 route, this was the most affordable, and easiest way to get my B-Body moving.
