I am in the process of installing a 318 in a 1986 Dodge D-50, 2 wheel drive. I have the motor and a 727 transmission in the truck. My ? is I am having trouble with the wiring. It seems that for every hot wire American, that Japan needed two. I have had the engine running but not smoothly. I am trying to wire it based on a 1977 Dodge D-100 wiring diagram. Not having much luck. Any advice would be greatly appriceated.  

Get a electronic ign. wiring diagram off the iternet and start from scratch. You can go to mymopar.com for the wiring diagram.
