I have a 1967 Plymouth Fury II. My neutral safety switch is disconnected and i can not find where it connects too. It is connected at the tranny but where does it go from there? HELP!!! The car drives great but it looks terrible that i have to get out and pop the hood everytime i go to crank her. PLEASE HELP!!! CBCR@bellsouth.net

A neutral safety switch will have nothing to do with you cranking the engine under the hood. What you are doing is by passing the starter relay on the firewall, replace it. If your neutral safety switch has failed, your vehicle will start in drive or reverse.

I replaced the relay but the one i replaced is not on the firewall. It is on the side wall of the car close to the battery. Are you speaking of the one that connects the battery and the starter? I do have a little back box on my firewall which i though was a resistor. I am starting the car from the relay to be exact. But like i said, the neutral safety wire on the tranny is not connected to anything but the tranny. Doesn't that suppose to connect to something on the other end? Could my resistor be bad?

The neutral safety switch connects to a switch on the steering column or if it is a floor shifter there is a switch located on the shifter. What ever you are jumping you will need to replace.
