I recently took a trip to my old home town in which I made a visit to the the local wrecking & tow yard where many years ago I had located a couple of aluminum 225 engines, the owner of the yard & I had agreed $250ea, But I never completed that deal [distracted by other projects].
So 10yrs later here I am back at the yard asking about the aluminum 225 and I was told they couldn't be found or didn't exist but If I wanted I could look for my self, So while walking through aisles of old mopar , and others,  I stumbled across this 62' 4dr valiant w/aluminum 225 AT and well needless to say I bought the whole car complete on tires for $700.   I'm stoked!!!
I'm planing on a basic resto for the body & interior but the aluminum 6 is gonna get built up a bit nothing radical just a 9.8 comp 268* duration cam 1.6 roller rockers  & big valves in a 67'ported head [not the original 'special engine' head] and of corse headers, though not to sure clifford survived their recent financial problems so I might be making my own [yea].  Honestly I have been thinking about the 2.2 pistons hung on 198 rods w/225 stroke crank.......any Ideas?

Hey 340,
Instead of research, I just want to say I think that's pretty cool. I used to see Kay Sissel's twin slant six FED run down at 'The County', Lions & Irwindale back in the day-(late '60's-early '70's). Can't remember e.t.'s, but you gotta dig on that! I think I have an old copy of DRUSA or SS&DI that had a feature on it. If I can dig it up I'll scan it and send it if you'd like to check it out. Also, we (Champion Raceway) in So. OR were just invaded by a NorCal Slant Six Club recently, where I talked to Doug Dutra and got his card. He was casting Hyper-Pack manifolds awhile back and has lots of 6 goodies. I'll send contact info if you don't already have it.

Cool, I'll see if I can dig it up. I remember twelve cylinders worth of slant six had quite a sound. Wildcat is pretty cool. They dug me up a 4-spd C-Body! pedal assembly for me to convert my '65 '300' when I get around to it-ha! I'm trying to decide between the  833 or a Keisler-style 5-spd. conversion. L8R
