I was looking for a cheap project car like a dart or demon. I ended up with an 89 daytona real cheap. So how do I install a 408 smallblock (also have a 71 400) someone told me the only way is to use mustangII stuff well i just dont want to put ford junk on anything so i heard using a dakota rack and swaping spindles will work. so is a 525 hp motor in this car a good idea? i know it will need a cage a frame, tubs and narrowed 8 3/4. can anyone give advise or even better send pics of one thats done (suspention eng & trans mounting) i am on a TIGHT budget i m doing almost all work myself. help please &thank you K

You know, I get really irritated with folks who can't see something good in every make of car. I have a Ford AND a Nissan. I have owned just every domestic make imaginable. With Chrysler running to Nissan/Renault for help with its small cars (and vice versa for help with trucks), maybe you should try a Nissan front end in the Daytona. It could be a "Sentrona" maybe.
