I'm about to purchase a 68 Roadrunner despite some very small rust bubbles showing through the paint on the quarters and lower door. Should even minor signs of cancer like this call for new panels or would it be cheaper to have the spots cut, welded and repaired? I really dont want to strip her apart yet and go through the entire rotisserie thing yet cause everything else is immaculate, but i want to get the body smooth now. Any ideas on what i'm looking to spend on rust repairs?

I TOO AM JUST STARTING TO RESTORE MY 68 ROADRUNNER BUT IT ISN'T IN THE BEST OF SHAPE AND HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO GET PARTS AT A DECENT PRICE,I'M ON A LIMITED BUDGET, I NEED SOME BODY WORK NOT AS BAD AS IT COULD BE BUT I DON'T KNOW THE FIRST THING ABOUT BODY WORK. I'M UNSURE OF THE ORIGINAL PAINT. SINCE I HAVE BEEN AROUND THIS CAR,24YRS, IT WAS ALWAYS A PRIMERED MAROON. THERE IS SOME SURFACE RUST . THE MAJOR DAMAGE IS THE BACK QUARTERS BUT IT'S ONLY AT MOST 5INCHES UP SO I DON'T THINK I NEED A REPLACEMENT BUT IN ONE OF MY MOPARMUSCLE ISSUES THEY DID SOME WORK ON ONE AND FOUND THAT THE INNER WHEEL WELLS WERE BAD AND HAD TO BE REPLACED AND NOW I CAN'T REMEMBER IF THEY REPLACED THE OUTERS AS WELL. LIKE ANY TRUE MOPAR FAN I STILL HAVE ALL OF MY ISSUES. I SAVE THEM IN PLASTIC. I NEED SOME PARTS AS WELL. I REALLY NEED SOME HELP WITH THIS ONE COULD YOU GIVE ME ANY POINTERS?
