this car(74 duster) has abeen front halved whith rack & pinion steering new areoquip brakes but always pulled to left when racing.It usually starts from 1st to 2nd and gets to the point you have to abort the run can some pls tell me what the alignment specs are tell me what esle i should look for. or if you live in the jaxville fl area and of some one that can peroform a good alignment on a drag car e-mail me at hitekmal@bellsouth.net

This may sound crazy but measure your wheel base from centercap of front to center cap of the rear wheel on both sides and see if they are the same.If there is a difference between left side and right side it can throw the car side ways.

Any good alignment shop that can do a fourwheel alignment should be able to align your car. In reguards to Batmans suggestion, mesuring from front hub to back hub doesn't work because the front wheels have to be perfictly aligned with the car frame inorder for that to work and you have to put it on an alignment machine to do that. Good luck with your a-body!

If your still having the problem check and make sure all front end parts are in good working order. Especially the left front strut bar. I had a similar problem, the car would make a move to the left when shifting gears. I found the left front strut nut backed off and this would allow the lower control arm to move under hard acceleration.
