I'm looking at a 1972 Dodge Challenger and I'm thinking about purchasing it.  I would just like to know what anyone would say it's worth.  Here are the details:
1972 Dodge Challenger.
Originally a 318 Engine.
Now has a 1972 440 HP engine.
Engine and transmission are in the car but not bolted up or connected.
4 speed manual transmission
6 pack hood.
Floors have absolutely no rust.
No carpet or headliner
Frame is in great condition
Underbody has hardly any rust, just some surface.
Car body has just been sandblasted and primed.
No body work needed.
South Carolina car all its life.
Original Trunk pan is in good shape.
Asking price is $6600

Can anyone tell me what they think this car is worth?

Jump on it thats not a bad price. E-Bodies are getting harder and harder to come by. I bought a 73  challenger in 2005 for $5500 with a 318 and automatic 904 Trans it didnt run and I scrapped the 318 and built an awesome 360.The Body was descent because it had 3 coats of paint preserving it, but I did have to put a patch panel on the rear quarters and replace the trunk floor pan.I turned mine into a T/A clone you can see it in readers rides on this website. I spent the past 2.5 years restoring it. It sounds like this car is in good shape. Look at Ebay and see what the bids are on Challengers. They are always High.I looked for 2 years before I found one worth Restoring and beleive me there is pure junk out there and people want big money for it. I completely restored mine from the frame up and I love it.Also this car probably came with Disc Brakes on the front so there is about $800 you dont have to spend on a conversion Kit.

I have just purchased a 1972 Challenger.  It is a 318 slapstick minimal rust needs repaint.  It has rallye hood, wheels, guard flutes, gas cap  Body is straight.  Car runs and drives and I paid $6500 and I thought it was a good deal.  So I think yours is probably a good deal.  I do have a little problem with mine though.  When the vehicle was shipped the factory sunroof was lost.  I NEED HELP! IN REPLACING IT. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN GET ONE. HELP ME PLEASE!!!
