Long time muscle-car fan.
...But have not had a muscle car in a LONG TIME!

I have the chance to get a 1971 Plymouth Scamp or a 1968 Dodge Dart 270.

I need OBJECTIVE HELP in deciding which muscle car would be the better.

Facts about both cars, as I know them....

1971 PLYMOUTH SCAMP:
Two door. Hard top.
318 V8 engine. Rebuilt with mild performance upgrade.
Automatic - stick on the floor.
Wide hood-scoop conversion.
Faded paint, some scratches and dings
Minimal rust.
Appears to have stock (erra correct) wheels.
Interior is not in the best of shape.

1968 Dodge Dart 270:
Two door. Hard top.
273 V8 engine.
Automatic or stick - not sure just yet.
HID light coversion done on the secondary front lights.
Faded paint, some scratches and dings.
Mostly rust free - has been hurculined.
Appears to have stock (erra correct) wheels.
Interior is not in the best of shape.

Please ask any questions you might, to better help me choose the better of the two muscle cars.

Thank you for any help you might give.

They're both A-Bodies, and I happen to like both styles. Objectively speaking, I think the '68 would be considered more "mainstream", and popular, but maybe that's the reason to go with the '71.

Sometimes you just gotta say...

Dart is Hurculined? what are they hiding, hid light conversion? go with the Scamp, probably has better brakes, electronic ignition, scoops always look good on this model, plus it has a rebuilt motor.
