I know this car is a lot different from most cars, however, it is light and can have a lot done to it. I plan on using it as a drag car. The problem i'm having is finding a small block V8 K member for the car and i also need a set of rear springs. I currently have the motor and trans from a 85 fifth avenue which was a 318 roller motor with 904 trans with 8.25 rear end not nearly enough car is running low 14's now. I am going to add a 416 and 727 and use either a 8.75 or a 9.25 rear end when i am finished.
If anyone knows where i can locate the parts i need I would be very appreciative.
Your car sound pretty cool
I myself have a 76 aspen R/T With a 400 Big block(I put it there) and a 727 T/F it has 12" slicks and runs in the low 10's its nice to see a fan of the F body right on brutha
Hey 68, is my '79 leBaron a F body?
Mopar38730, Building an F-Body car does present parts locating problems as you have noticed. I am not sure where you are located in the U.S., but you may want to try a Mopar salvage yard like Desert Valley or Stephens Performance or Tony's Parts. These guys deal in parts, and I am sure at least one of them can help.
--------------------Some people are like Slinkys; they're not very useful, but fun to watch when pushed down the stairs.
I HAVE A 77 ROADRUNNER PARTS CAR WITH A V8 K MEMBER AND REAR LEAF SPRINGS YOU CAN HAVE THE PARTS IF YOU COME AND GET I AM IN KY YOU CAN TAKE PARTS OFF CAR THANKS FOR INTEREST IN A CAR THAT I BELIEVE IS THE NEXT THING IN MOPARDOME.
cool car, is it done yet? I Have a 79 volare also with a 360. The k-member from the 85 fifth ave donar car should work.
