I'm in the process of doing a full restore on my 69 Super Bee. I have added the XV Motorsports Level 1 suspension. I am now trying to decide what do about the steering. My plans were to order a Rack from Unisteer or Just Suspensions. However, when ordering my brake kit, I was warned about the Rack would reduce the turning radius. I was also warned that mopar power steering had a lot of play in it at highway speeds. I am planning on cruzin with this car instead of taking it to the track. Please advise on rack or power steering experiences.

dont bother. the cost and things to do along with handling just isnt worth the effort for a street car. the rack is normally used for race cars to lose a few pounds and in your application isnt worth the time or money, add to that it will have bum steering.racks are used for converting from fwd to rwd . I think you would be wasting your money and would have to do a lot of changes to make it work right, too many to explain here, power steering, mine also has a lil over steer but they make different ratio boxes ,for a street car your wasting your money. I could see using a rack with manual steering on a race car but not on a street car.thats my opinion.besides your not going to gain any resale by doing this, so stay with what you had in the superbee originally if you want to get top dollar for the car.
