I'm replacing the pinion seal on a 8 3/4" 742 casing and wanted to know the correct torque for the pinion nut.

240 ft./lbs.

dont forget to use the suregrip lube added to the gear oil if your running a sure grip unit  on your rear center section build. RB also hi strength alloy steel caps should be used for hi hp applications and machined down to the same size as the old caps and remember the left side is the most critical location when using small axles in a hd application
