take it to a machine shop and let them mike the cam specs out then decide
Without knowing any specs or even who made the cam, it's hard to say if using it will be beneficial. I would also suggest having a machine shop Mic it so you know what you really have before proceeding.
--------------------Some people are like Slinkys; they're not very useful, but fun to watch when pushed down the stairs.
Unless the machine shop has a CamPro, they'll only be able to tell you the lift unless they install it in an engine and degree it.To find the approximate lift, measure the base circle (smallest diameter of the lobe) Then measure the highest point of lift. Subtract the base circle number from the highest lift number for the lobe lift. Multiply this by the rocker ratio (1.5 for factory Mopars)to get the valve lift. In reality, if the cam is unknown and is more than 5 years old or so, you're probably better off calling Comp or someone for a new cam and lifter set. They're relatively inexpensive for the peace of mind you'll get knowing the cam's precise specs.
hi again i have found out the part no for the cam it is oem 3512907 447/459 (lift) duration at 050 213/225 would these help to tell if its worth using please help if you can BAZ

hi i joined this forum because it is realy hard to get good advise on american engines here in the uk i have messed around with many diferent types of american car in the 30 years in this hoby and so have a little knowledge there are no speed shops here to speak of everything is double the price and some! unless you would drive a chevy. I thank the genuine guys that try and help as i said earlier the cam i have is oem and i am sure that the orange markings mean something to someone if it had purple markings everyone would know it was (a purple cam!)the part no is 3512907 all i realy need to know is will it perform better than the 2532109 that is in my engine at the moment and by how much i am afraid i dont have time for the silly talk elsewhere in the postings information is what i need so if you can help pleas do if not well thanks for trying BAZ
