I have a 1977 D100 stepside Pickup with oak bed etc. Pinstriping including the dash. E58 engine with loadflite (727) trans. Orange red color, pinstripe in gold. There is no "name" (Warlock, midnight express etc) on the truck It's one of the "adult toy" trucks but is there a code to tell which it is? The build sheet does lists a model conversion.

~the midnight express only came in black which was the main color, or midnight blue which was a rare color on the truck.

~in 77' the warlock came in black, red or green with gold striping inside and out.
in 78' they came in Bright Canyon Red, Medium Green, Sunfire Metalliic, Black, Citron Green Metallic, Sunrise Orange, Canyon Red and Sunfire Metallic. with the gold stripes inside and out.
i did some research and the only motors that came in the warlock was the 225, 318, and 440 in some year models. im probably wrong on the motors

its probably a lil red or a warlock

Most likely is a Warlock.  I have two 1977 'red' warlocks.  I do not have a build sheet on either.  The 'Warlock' package was just that - an options package.  It was available with most drivetrain configurations.  The 1977's had "DODGE" in gold stripe letters on the tailgate.  Later models had "Warlock"  or " Warlock II".  The package consisted of gold striping inside (including the instrument bezel) and out, wooden bed and side rails, chrome steps, low-back bucket seats with center console, and either painted gold spoke wheels or chrome 5-slot wheels (similar to the LRE's).
For the 1977 model, there were more black produced, followed by a dark metallic green, followed by red.  There are no actual production #s, as it was an option package and not a special production such as the LRE.

Mine are D100 w/ 318 and auto w/ factory air, and a W150 w/360 and 4speed.

Good luck!
