I am restoring a 1969 SuperBee rear end. Before I cut everything apart i took measurements of everything I could think of. I cut out the quarter panels, trunk pan, frame rails, cross braces for shocks, gas tank, and rear cross member that goes under the bumper. I started by putting the rear cross brace on the tail panel and put the rear frames where they belong according to the cross member. When i went to put on frame work for the leaf springs one side lines up perfect the other does not. The driver's side is out by an inch side to side. I realize when they built these cars everything had some tolerance but, i think this is a little to much. I've talked to many people and no one can really give me an answer. If somebody has a book on frame specs for this car can you please send me some information. I would really like to get this car back together. Or leave me a phone number and I will call you. I think this problem takes more than one or two e-mails to fix it.

I'm not sure where you are from, but I'd suggest finding a good chassis/frame shop in your area. A frame shop should have all the specs for most cars, and can quickly give you the measurements you need and maybe even a copy of the diagram.

If you're not sure of a frame shop in your area, check with your local body shop and see who they use for frame repair.
