Hello, First post here.
Hey I read the tech page on your Mags 67 RT and would like to know what if any mods were done to fit the Nittos 555's under the back. I have the same car and just got a set of 15x8 4 1/2 back space and would like to fit as big a tire as possible to help the 440 hook up. Thanks, Great mag too!!!

Sorry about the late reply, I was out of the office for a bit traveling. Anyway, what issue are you referring to so I can look at it? Was it on the web site, or in an issue of the magazine?

I saw it in the TECH page under Mopar suspenion upgrade Hook Corner and Whoa I am trying to find the biggest tire ti fit on the Coronet. I can widen the area by moving the inner quarter out some. But with about 600 hp I need a good size tire. Your help is needed and thanks for what you can give. Matt.

SINCE NO OTHER REPLYS ILL TRY TO HELP. I HAVE A 70 ROADRUNNER WITH 15*8 STREET STARS W/ 4.5 BACKSPACING. MY TIRES ARE 275/60-15 AS THE ONES IN THE ARTICLE. I HAVE TEST FIT THESE ON MY BROTHERS 67 CORONET AND THEY FILL THE WELLS PRETTY TIGHT. NO RUBBING ISSUES BUT I DONT THINK YOU CAN GO MUCH BIGGER ON A 8" WIDE RIM ANY WAYS. YOU COULD PROBABLY GO 15X10 WITH 5.5 BACK SPACING  BUT YOULL BE REALLY CLOSE TO THE INNER WELLS AND WOULD PROBABLY HAVE TO "ROLL" THE LIP ON THE FENDER.

Matmobl67, I just found out that there were NO mods done to the car.

Thanks BIG-A,
I will get one tire that size and see how it fits. That way if to big I can take it back and not loose but on mounting. I love the look of a straight line car like the Coronet with a fat tire. The under body is solide so cutting it up is not going to happen. Will let you know what happens. Thanks, Matt.
