what is th cheapest way or the best way to lower my 78 dodge d150 longbed truck. I would like to still put slide a link bars up there for racing it is going to be a street/strip truck.

What's the cheapest way to lower it? Cut the coil springs up front with a torch and put lowering blocks in the rear.

The best way? Probably an AirRide suspenssion.

Chances are you'll want something in-between. Check with Just Suspension for some lower coil springs with the same rate as stock, and lowering blocks in the rear (or removing the blocks since your axle is under the springs) would probably be the way to go.

by cutting the springs with a torch wouldnt the heat reduce spring rating also and weaken it?
