WITH THE NEW CHALLENGER WHAT ONE OF US WOULDNT LOVE TO BUY A SIX PACK CHALLENGER NEW. AND I KNOW WITH GAS PRICES HIGH AND ALL PEOPLE WOULD BE HARPING BUT STILL WITH ALL THE STUFF THEY HAVE ON CAR NOW DAYS I'M SURE THEY RIG UP SOMETHING TO KEEP TWO OFF TILL YOU PUNCHED IT OR SOMTHING I MEAN BACK IN 70 THEY RIGGED UP A WING AND NOSE CONE ON A CHARGER AND WENT 200. AND IF THATS TO MUCH MAYBE A SPECIAL RUN OR A DEALER INSTALL. HECK WHY NOT GO GREEN AND HAVE IT RUN ON BIO FUEL'S TO. AT LEAST AN AFTER MARKET INTAKE AND CONVERSION KIT

Rest assured, you'll probably never see a Six Pack induction system on a new vehicle from the factory. Just the perceived thought of minimal fuel mileage will kill the idea.
Anyway, with a 6.1 and the eventual manual stick, it's going to be a killer ride.

well ok i got over excited but what if they had a V6 challenger base model and called it a six pack. i know a magnum V6 can run and with the new callenger's weight and air induction system that would be cool. and is there any truth to the 7.0 liter engine option?

Yes the 1350 cfm 6BBL on my 440 in my 69 Road Runner runs like a its on steroids but it does suck the fuel and we will never again see anything like it again. The new Challenger is very exciting and cannot wait until they are on the road. I do see just about every car when they first come out road and I have seen it a couple of times driving around. I live in the Motor City!!!

Sixpack, Could you imagine the uproar from people if they simply called a V-6 Challenger a "Six Pack" car. Remember the outcry when the Charger got four doors?

I bet they could finagle something with some R&D. On the forum I frequent, a gentleman had an old 70 something Jensen Interceptor. For those that are familiar with those cars, some of them came through with Mopar 440 engines. He created his own "Six Pack" fuel injection system from 3 throttle bodies off of old Dodge Durangos or something like that. The throttle bodies look like 2 barrel carburators and with a little grinding he got them to fit on a Six Pack manifold.
Sooooo....if a backyard mechanic can do it, I'm sure a bunch of automotive engineers can do it...it's just a matter if it's worth it $$$ wise for Chrysler to make it. Beside, the induction system that exists may work better than a Six Pack set up the way this guy rigged it up just due to more even flow or air/fuel....

Guys, I am fairly confident in saying that Chrysler will never spend the resources, time, or money to go back to using a throttle body style of injection--technology has advanced so far. The R&D and manufacturing of just the intake would make it cost prohibitive, and let's not mention the electronics.
I have seen guys make a Six Pack EFI, and we are currently working on something with F&B Performance, showing a tech article about that, so stay tuned.

Randy, Yes, and we will soon be done. Very soon. Our Barracuda has given us a few set-backs... Grandma, bless her heart, liked to drive it hard and put it away wet. Of course every time you mention six pack EFI I've got to start answering the phone again (thanks!). Drive by wire GENIII Hemi 6bbl? The R&D is rough for a small company, but not impossible... Getting it street legal? Priceless... BKBridges

Bruce, I know it takes time, so no problem. Glad to hear things are going well, and that grandma drove the Barracuda hard enough that you guys gotta fix some things.
Sooooo, Do we get the first article done, and start on another?????

Randy, I think theres enough details on a full EFI conversion for a couple of articles easy. And of course theres the GENIII Hemi! The Jensen discussed in this thread is mine! Thats F&Bs big block test mule for our EFI designs and my daily driver. Weve also got a 98 Dakota R/T 5.9 6 barrel EFI and the LA powered Barracuda for development. Speaking of which...
