The records on the '75's are very limited.
Total production was 7831. I have searched everywhere but only find limited data on these cars.
A estimate that almost 70 percent of the cars were 318 cars.
The 360 2bbl possibly 20 percent of that figure.
360 4bbl cars only 5 percent and the 400 4bbl 5 percent of production.
If anyone out there has any hard figures please speak up.
There aren't that many of us with these around and we could use the data.

The above numbers sound pretty accurate, since the Road Runner was actually just an optional appearance package on the Fury hardtop, it's difficult to find production numbers on just the Road Runner.
I would venture to guess, however, that the 360 4bbl, moonroof options make it less than 1,000, maybe fewer.

That is a rare option.
The RR was actually shown as a seperate model in the '75 sales literature.
The base car was equipped with the 318 and 3 speed manual transmission with 3.21 gears
All RR's were equipped with the "export" suspension package which included 1" diameter shocks, higher rate rear springs/torsion bars and rear sway bar.
I have only seen one of these in the last 10 years or so.
Other rare options are:
Rally dash Firm Feel Steering
I continue to do the research and please speak up if you have any confirmed info.

thank you for your info it puts me in the right direction of knowing how rare my car is and any 75 rr for that matter, does the 75 rallye dash consist of a 1-100 speedo and tach?, is the firm feel steering just an alternate steering wheel? i was unaware that these cars came thru with manual transmissions never seen one equipped with a 3spd, was a blacked out hood an option in 75? sorry to drill you guys with questions but im very curious to learn as much as i can about these rare cars and the info you have provided helps alot!

Option V21, Performance hood treatment was available in 1975.
Have seen very few cars with it, and with the correct code on the plate and build sheet.

Good day all,
I am a new member and this is my first post.
I factory ordered a ’75 Road Runner in April of ’75, and I took delivery of the car on Friday June 13, ’75. I still have the car and it has about 110,000 miles on it. It needs restored, but it is complete, in reasonably good condition, not horribly rusted and it is drivable.
It is not an appearance package for the Fury. Rather it is a stand alone model called Road Runner, and it carries a genuine Road Runner VIN (RM21P5G). The name Fury does not appear anywhere on the car.
I ordered the 400 4 bbl. Dual Exhaust which in Canada meant a 235 horse power rating and true duals with no cats. It also has a column shifted 727 and 9 ¼ rear end. I ordered PS and PDB and a few other options.
The car is Aztec Gold with white up and over stripes and the K9W Tunnel Deck stripe as in the catalogue photo. I can confirm that there was a performance hood treatment (flat black paint on the raised portion of the hood). My car has it. It also has the Sundance interior. That was the only way I could get cloth seats. There is precious little more uncomfortable than sitting on cold vinyl seats in the winter. The car came with 14 inch Rallye Wheels and the same exhaust tips as a ’70 Challenger.
The question now is what to do with it. Sell after 33 years, or restore? I have no idea what this rare Bird is worth.
Cheers!
Dave

Please don't take my post as being ignorant, but the years after 1971 just don't seem to bring any real value for some reason. I have a feeling the post-71 cars will eventually be a collectible, but it's going to take a while.

I'd agree with Randy, but your car sounds nice, should run good with the big-block, and you have a history with it. I'd say restore it as you'd likely be disappointed with the price it would bring. If you like the car and enjoy it, go ahead and put some time and money into it. By the time you get it on the road the market may be better for the post-71 cars.

I don't consider anything posted here to be ignorant. Recognizing that post '71 cars are of less or even little value is only realistic. Still, the '75 is kind of cool in it's being different, and it may be worth putting some effort and money into, at least for somebody. We'll see...

The post '71 cars are slowly gaining ground in value.
The worst part on the '75s are the lack of body and interior parts.
Cordoba and Coronet dash and instruments are interchangable along of course with Fury parts.
Some NOS stuff surfaces from time to time.
I paid over $200 for 2 NOS taillight lens 2 years ago
In response to the restore or not question:
You have a long history with the car. It's your personal choice and these cars don't appeal to everyone. They are different.
But, that being said, they are awesome driving street machines that handled better than any previous RR.
I love mine just for the looks it gets and the fun factor
Go for it!
