Hey all. New to sight and like what is going on here. I just got an 08 Quad Cab with Hemi and the testosterone is boiling. Yes I want more! Question is would a gear change be a good 1st. step rather than exhaust, intake, etc. I am told that they do not change gear ratio when they put the Big Horn package on. This would give more power to the pavement as well as MPG correct? I can see all the other stuff after this correction. Any info would be welcome.

I don't know what gear is in your truck, but if you go to a higher gear ratio, you'll gain acceleration but generally mileage will suffer.
Leaving the factory gear in place and installing a computer tuner, exhaust, etc. is probably the best way to improve both power and economy.

Congrats on your Hemi Ram. If you equipped with 3.55's a change out to 3.92's will help your performance a lot.
Check your window sticker or the inside of the glovebox door for the ratio.
To go from 3.92 to 4.10 doesn't buy you much in the accleration times. Going to 4.56's will gain you mpg in town and lose some milage on the highway.
The 3.92 ratio seems to be the best compromise for economy and performance.
And the cold air kit and catback exhaust is a must for these trucks. A Superchips 3815 programmer will make you smile....lots!
