Here is a freaky question on my rebuilt 360 that i have about 300 miles it runs great but i noticed today that the passenger side valve cover is kinda hot to a touch i mean you can't lay your hand on it for more than 10 secs but the driver side is fairly cool to a touch. the motor has great oil pressure 75-80 lbs and rockers arms are getting oiled okay like normal any ideal's here is the specs on motor
360+30 over 72 block 596 heads with chev valves 509 292 cam 750 dp holley headers ect timing set at 18 deg btdc at idle (800 rpms ) and total timing 38 deg @ 1500 rpms

SOUNDS LIKE YOUR NOT GETTING OIL ON THAT SIDE,TRY PUTTING A BREATHER TUBE BETWEEN THE TWO VALVE COVERS,INCH AND A HALF SHOULD EQUAL OUT THE PRESSURE  

Is the side that is hot the side with pvc valve if it has one.
